i`ve spent the morning and part of my afternoon... getting to the bottom of... why names were added to the awaa fan page... it`s a dangerous thing to happen in our world... faders can be outed,we can lose,family,friends... the results can be an absolute disaster... .

Also, beware:

FB recently added a new ticker news feed on all pages. It's a little ticker box to the right of your screen that only the FB page owner can see, however, eveyone has this new feature. Anytime you or anyone of your freinds on FB "likes", "comments", or "accepts", everyone can see your activities.

FYI. One thing I'm not sure of is once a FB Fan Pade (or any page for that matter) is deleted, does the notice of acceptence also disappear on your front page....???

*AAWA has to be beware of stating they are representives of EX-Jw's or the EX-JW community. Period.

That's a risk AAWA as well as their FB Fan Page Members are going to have to take. Even if they kept the page private or non open. Once ANYONE is member of FB Page, Fan Page, or Group they can view EVERYTHING.

One solution is have a warning notice on AAWA FB Fan Page of such risk.

Deleting the AAWA FB Fan Page and starting fresh is an excellent idea. I know people who don't check their FB pages for days or months, they have other things to do.

when i was bringing my daughter back to her mother's house two elders stopped me and told me they wanted to talk.

i said i didn't have time, they asked me if i wanted to stop by the kh on saturday to talk to them.

i said i didn't have time.

I'll try to make it easier to understand (if I'm correct). There were three fatal issues they had to contend with:

Juan stated:

3. "over the weekend it was brought to our attention that another website had also placed our header and logo in their featured/header image slot. Someone wrote me and asked if we had joined forces with this other site? " (note: someone with their own anti cult FB page, group, or other web site, which i'm still not clear and doesn't matter, who stoled AAWAs logo to use for their own use)

Another huge mistake was not explaining sooner with an offical apology. There may have been less confusion, angst, speculations, assumptions, etc., but at the same time there would those who still wouldn't understand (herding cats)......but I'm pretty sure it would have been understood and appreciated by the majority.

Thank you Juan for stepping up to the plate with a full/clear explination and apology.You may want to consider being their PR rep, they're going to need one. I do wish you and yours the best.

Don't go no matter what

What ever they heard is only hearsay at this point. If you go in they'll try to get you to admit what ever this issue is, and if you're in goat mood they'll DF you which is what exactly what happened to me". Someone ratted me out and I had been away for a year. Like a dummy, I went to the KH to have that little chat and they DF'd me.

If you REALLY read what I wrote, you'd see I CLEARLY distingush the difference between FB Pages, Fan Pages and Groups.....

Anyway, how would you know Cedars? You stated you hardly know anything about FB. I do. AAWA started a FB "FAN PAGE".......which you posted a link to on your other thread and there's a huge growth spike on that page. Fan Pages have the "like"botton which is on your AAWA Fan Page.

We? Yours, Juans, or Outlaws explination? All are different.

I myself have not brought this particular issue up until now. I was trying to get to the bottom of this, and it appears YOUR FAN PAGE has a huge growth spike on it. I think YOU'RE confused. Or maybe someone is pulling your chain to cover their back......

Now if there was a Christian Group who faked AAWA logo, etc,, I still see no evidence of discussions about AAWA, on other groups on FB under Christian Witesses discussions.....ex witnesses....etc.......the only one who was talking about AAWA was the Truth Fan Page which in no way mis represents AAWA.

Even if it wasn't your fault, the professional thing to do would be to apologize for the mess on this thread. But instead you're quick to cover your butt......

It's not that I'm out to get you Cedars, far from the truth, but you seem to show colors which I've never seen until recently....I hope I'm wrong......

If AAWA did not start a fan page, why did Cedars post the link on the other thread he started?

However, there is no AAWA FB page, nor group, just the Fan Page which appears Cedars is aware of. I do think there's still confusion as to FB Fan Page, FB Page, and FB Group Page......

...don't you mean AAWA, instead of AWAA?

Just a note. If you search AAWA it will not come up on FB search, unless, you type in Association of Anti Watchtower Activists. I did a search long before this issue came up. The only other AAWA that come up on FB is a real estate company from India.

Anyway, is this the page you're referring to?

The Truth Rundown FB Fan Page has a couple of posts talking about AAWA, also features the AAWA Youtube video. In another comment box section they posted a link to JWactivist.org AAWA Volunteer page(so people could volunteer from their page), but in no way are they mis representing anyone or trying to take credit. If you'll note Truth Rundown also has a photo of a broken chain link, but in no way looks like the AAWA logo.

If you look at the AAWA FB Fan page in their growth chart section, you'll notice a "huge growth spike" on April 6th....https://www.facebook.com/pages/Association-of-Anti-Watchtower-Activists/315832588543623?id=315832588543623&sk=likes

Outlaw is earnestly trying to figure it all out, but it seems to point back to the AAWA fan page. Juan already explained what happened a couple of days ago.

But if someone did steal the logo, etc, there seems to be no evidence of this. Has anyone seen the copycat fake fan page?
